Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! Friday 12/25/09 report. The temperature was in the mid 30s and there was a light drizzle beneath overcast skies with more wind than usual for my hike this morning. The following birds were heard: Red-bellied Woodpecker Downy Woodpecker Pileated Woodpecker Blue Jay Black-capped Chickadee Tufted Titmouse White-breasted Nuthatch Northern Cardinal American Goldfinch Once again, the only song I heard was a short rendition of the slower White-breasted Nuthatch song.
