Subject: [rollei_list] Rolleiflash Disaster

My Rolleiflash photo of family at Thanksgiving, did not come out. Somehow the shutter and flash weren't in sync.

I used the self timer and I had the flash sync set to M. Is there anything about the self-timer and the M setting that doesn't work? The one shot that did come out was only different in that I released the shutter myself.

Elias

Which camera? On my 2.8E the self timer lever puts the flash synch in X automatically. If you used a flashbulb and normal sort of shutter speed the shutter will have opened and closed before the bulb had a chance to come up to full illumination. On older Rolleis, like the MX, the synchroizer setting is independant of the self timer.
