DEAR PETER,
All agreed. I have used Oriental since 1993 and definitely noticed
the difference after its reincarnation. It is STILL a great paper, though
not as amazing as before. My point stands; there have always been and still
are great fine art photo papers most IMHO better than anything Kodak ever
marketed except, perhaps, Medalist.
                CHEERS!

Subject: [pure-silver] Oriental Seagull Papers

Bob,

the current line up of Oriental New Seagull Papers are very different to the
original Oriental Seagull papers used by Ansell et. al. Some people like
the new look, while
others<http://www.apug.org/forums/forum37/32979-oriental-seagull.html#post37

rather ordinary/mixed

results.
Cybergraphics (the owners of Oriental New Seagull) have been
outsourcing<http://www.apug.org/forums/forum172/16537-oriental-seagull-ilfor
d.html>the
manufacturing of their Oriental New Seagull paper for a few years now
after they closed their Japanese factory.

Peter
