Just an update folks. I replaced the ELC lamphouse/socket on my D2 and removed the stabilizer from the circuit. It seems to have fixed the problem of immediate lamp failure. Even with the new socket and with the stabilizer in line, my voltages were running 26 VAC + 8 VDC. Without the stabilizer, voltages run 27 VAC and 0 VDC. I think this means the stabilizer is shot, but I'm going to try to print without one. Just curious though if anyone has experience using voltage stabilizers from other sources besides Omega. Thanks again for everyone's help solving this problem, especially Nicholas, Eric, Richard, Harry, and Bob Watson. I wonder if you tried it with the stbilizer out of the circuit if the lamps would still go out right away. Also, 34 volts total would make a 24 volt lamp burn very brightly but not burn out right away. Also, beside Harry Taylor you might try Bob Watson who also repairs enlargers especially Omega. I haven't heard from him for a while so don't know if he is still in business rwatson767@xxxxxxx He does not have a web site. --- Richard Knoppow Los Angeles, CA, USA dickburk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ============================================================================ ================================= To unsubscribe from this list, go to www.freelists.org and logon to your account (the same e-mail address and password you set-up when you subscribed,) and unsubscribe from there. ============================================================================================================= To unsubscribe from this list, go to www.freelists.org and logon to your account (the same e-mail address and password you set-up when you subscribed,) and unsubscribe from there.
