If RC paper is showing more, maybe it (or at least part of it) is something like the polymer fallout that causes the interior surface of car windscreens to get a film on them. It's the plastic in the car breaking down.

My guess is now on 3 and some 4, because the MG-IV FB showed far less (but
still some) than PolymaxII RC.
