Hi,

A couple things I'd think would be of value in this kind of a presentation.

1. In the intro some level of detail about what it takes to get up and
working in each environment would be of value. This could range from first
time use of the OS/install to getting the screen reader up and running and
installed. For example if one needs to jump through loads of hoops to get
something up and working it would be nice to know this. At minimum I'd want
to leave this kind of a presentation with an idea of next steps to learn/try
for whatever of these choices seemed like it would meet my needs.

2. I don't see anything about identification of font/color/attribute info
here. It would be nice to have a task related to this in environments where
the at obtains this from an accessibility API and where other techniques are
used. That is on Windows for example I don't just want the example to be
using Word and what JAWS obtains from the word object model.

3. It might be hard to do in this kind of a demo situation, but some
commentary about what remote access options are like in each environment
would be of value. What remote access options does each operating system
offer and what's the accessibility support like for each of those options?

Kelly

So far, I'm not aware of anyone broadcasting the event. I would welcome
someone who could arrange that. All presenters have agreed that the
event may be publicized, recorded, or broadcast in any way. Web casting
is not a service that the conference provides, so any such arrangements
would have to be made with outside resources.
