I know my dinosaur phone lines & dial up service have something to do with
it, but I have problems with this system almost from the moment out of the
box ... ***sigh***

have ME, no problems with it . I have cable , maybe that is why I have no
problems. When I had phone line , I had a few problems , no more than I had
with Win. 95 though . I am down south of you , the deep south, Sydney,
