Maybe I am not understanding this but could I be getting backed up files? Someone told me to set spool print direct without spool..that didn't solve the problem either. The last print out I got one good page and then for 20 minutes it just kept printing junk. AND I notice that the wings on hp sometimes hang up and the print cartridge starts this thing of two slow trips back and forth before stops in proper place and I get the rotating lights for maybe 3 turns then another wait and out comes more junk. At this rate the printer will be worn out and I won't have to think on it anymore.... ----- Original Message ----- From: "BashfulBob" <BashfulBob@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "PCTT" <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, February 15, 2004 4:30 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: HP problem Hi Once you unplug the printer from the puter and turn it off that resets everything. HOWEVER if you still have or are in the process of having a spool file in your puter, when you plug it back into the puter and turn the printer on, the printer gets the rest of the spool files with out all the set up code (for lack of better terms) at the beginning of the spool file. So the printer does not understand what is coming in and prints out junk. Hop that helps a tad. Life is what happens in between plans.
