I just thought of another thing. I can read the fancy print on the brand of 
soap I buy. The scanner can't read that because the print is fancy and the 
paper covering is small.

Now that you have returned to using an Optacon, what tasks are you
relieved to use it for? Somebody (Sharon I think) mentioned what a
pleasure it was to "just read" a paper or a card without going through all
that scanning and computer operation. What other tasks are there? What
tasks could you suddenly do independently again that were kind of a
porblem in the absence of the Optacon? These are the kinds of things that
will figure into any sort of Optacon re-development. Also particularly
please mention any tasks that had to be given up altogether, say, the
exploration of cookbooks.
