CL, Thanks, it could be pretty useful for remote reviewing. Instead of just providing a list of issues, you could include the coordinates. Gary Gary E. Hi Gary and List, Regarding Gary's comment about clicking on coordinate and zoom to location.. here is a nice little trick too . If you wish to point someone to a location.. really useful for people providing feedback...(or write non-skill program that interface allegro to zoom to location in question) Use notepad (vi editor) , open up a new text file. Key in all the coordinate point in this format. example - (1234 5678) or (0 0) - no comma please.. Save the file. Open up your allegro with the board file in question. Use the allegro file viewer (Under File -> File Viewer) open up your text file. Once the file is opened up, bring your cursor into the bracket and CLICK -wah-lah.. you are there by zoom center... Works on both PCB editor and Free viewer.. Enjoy , have a nice day.. Jean, Wow, nice explanation, windows, arrows and all! You know, you can click on the coordinates and Allegro will pan to the location (zoom in a ways first). Thanks for the reply. Gary Gary E. Sue, if you select the little box to the left of the "out of date shapes" text, it'll bring up the screen on the right. It'll tell you which shape(s) are out of date, what layer they're on, and give you a coordinate to look at. Makes finding them much easier. You can also get this same information from the "Shape Dynamic State" report. ________________________________ From: icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Reade, Sue Sent: Wednesday, May 16, 2007 4:00 PM To: icu-pcb-forum@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Re: possessed design! I did had one of these last week. I had just upgraded to the latest ISR 15.5.1, and all of a sudden you get this message, drc out of date no matter how many times you run it. In my case, I had an out of date shape that was causing this. On my board the shape was very small and did not fill, so it was very difficult to find. ________________________________ From: icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Macindoe, Gary Sent: Wednesday, May 16, 2007 3:07 PM To: icu-pcb-forum@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [PCB_FORUM] possessed design! Hey guys, Allegro 610 Expert, Windows XP Pro. Well, my design has become "possessed"! No matter what I do, the Status shows DRC errors as "Out Of Date" with 0 errors: - I ran Tools -> Database Check (both checked), passed squeaky clean. - I ran Tools -> Update DRC, resulting in "No DRC errors detected". - I ran "Update DRC" from Drawing Options window, Status tab, also resulting in "No DRC errors detected". - I got out of Allegro, got back in, then I repeated the above. Anyone ever see this one? In all my years using this tool, I've never seen the DRC errors stay "Out Of Date" after updating. Thanks for any help! Gary Gary E.
