Hi Jean, That's the impression I got, but wanted to confirm. Too bad. Personally, I have enough to do and having to go to a web site, log in etc. just to reply to someone doesn't suit me. But, just receiving the posts, providing the signal to noise ratio is high, might be useful...but frustrating if I wanted to reply ;-/ Regards, Austin -----Original Message----- From: icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Jean Bratton Sent: Thursday, May 17, 2007 2:28 PM To: icu-pcb-forum@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Re: possessed design! From what Michael said, no. All you can do is read and learn. If you need to clarify, or if you want to answer a questions, you'll have to go to the website. I still think there's advantage to "read and learn" even if you don 't ever post anything. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- From: icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Austin Franklin Sent: Thursday, May 17, 2007 2:04 PM To: icu-pcb-forum@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Re: possessed design! Hi Jean, You've made it clear it will send an email for each post that shows up, but can you also reply to that email and have that email post just like if you went to the web site? Gary, I think you missed Mike's point.it will send you an email. You only have to go to the site if you choose to reply. You'll still get to see all the discussions and get to learn whatever you can from them with just an email check. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Macindoe, Gary Sent: Thursday, May 17, 2007 12:26 PM To: icu-pcb-forum@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Re: possessed design! Michael, From Jean's post: O I signed up for the CDNusers, but I never remember to go there to see what's up. This appears in my email, is informative and responsive, and thus all I really use. I agree 100%. The most disruption I can afford is to check my e-mail occasionally (save, check e-mail, get back to work!). From your post: O The only major difference between the two forums is CDNUsers.org Forums does not allow you to post/reply directly to the forum via email so you have to login to the website to post a reply to a post. Which is why this forum is all I'll use, unless the above about CDNUsers.org Forum changes. Regards, Gary Gary E. Yup, just go to Drawing Options and click on the box to the left of where it says Out of Date Shapes. It will bring up a list, scroll down and find the ones that are out of date and click the coordinates to bring you to the exact location (it will tell you the layer it is on). You may need to turn on the "Boundary" for that etch layer to see it due to the shape priority (sometimes there are multiple shapes but only one is visible. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of gnieski_mike@xxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, May 16, 2007 1:12 PM To: icu-pcb-forum@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Re: possessed design! any easy way to find an out of date shape? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Edwards, Kevin Sent: Wednesday, May 16, 2007 4:04 PM To: icu-pcb-forum@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Re: possessed design! Hey guys, Allegro 610 Expert, Windows XP Pro. Well, my design has become "possessed"! No matter what I do, the Status shows DRC errors as "Out Of Date" with 0 errors: - I ran Tools -> Database Check (both checked), passed squeaky clean. - I ran Tools -> Update DRC, resulting in "No DRC errors detected". - I ran "Update DRC" from Drawing Options window, Status tab, also resulting in "No DRC errors detected". - I got out of Allegro, got back in, then I repeated the above. Anyone ever see this one? In all my years using this tool, I've never seen the DRC errors stay "Out Of Date" after updating. Thanks for any help!
