From what Michael said, no. All you can do is read and learn. If
you need to clarify, or if you want to answer a questions, you'll have
to go to the website. I still think there's advantage to "read and
learn" even if you don't ever post anything...

Hi Jean,
You've made it clear it will send an email for each post that
shows up, but can you also reply to that email and have that email post
just like if you went to the web site?
Regards,
Austin

Gary, I think you missed Mike's point...it will send you
an email. You only have to go to the site if you choose to reply. You'll
still get to see all the discussions and get to learn whatever you can
from them with just an email check.

Michael,
From Jean's post:
* I signed up for the CDNusers, but I never
remember to go there to see what's up. This appears in my email, is
informative and responsive, and thus all I really use.
I agree 100%. The most disruption I can afford is to
check my e-mail occasionally (save, check e-mail, get back to work!).
From your post:
* The only major difference between the two forums
is CDNUsers.org Forums does not allow you to post/reply directly to the
forum via email so you have to login to the website to post a reply to a
post.
Which is why this forum is all I'll use, unless the
above about CDNUsers.org Forum changes.
Regards,
Gary

Importance: High
Hey Jean,
I personally use both forums. You can setup
CDNUsers.org account to send emails of the posts by checking the box
next to "Email me when someone posts to this forum".
The only major difference between the two forums is
CDNUsers.org Forums does not allow you to post/reply directly to the
forum via email so you have to login to the website to post a reply to a
post.
See attached image to see what you need to do so you get
the posts on the forum to your email.

Just curious...
I noticed that the number of emails on this forum has
been picking up lately.
Are folks subscribed to both Allegro forums?
icu-pcb-forum@xxxxxxxxxxxxx and cdnusers.org
or
Do folks prefer one forum over the other?
Looking for general comments. Personal Interest.

Hit the nail on the head! This worked great.....I
did have multiple shapes and could only see the problem shape with
boundary on.
This forum is always the first place to go when
there's a problem. Great help!

Yup, just go to Drawing Options and click on the box to
the left of where it says Out of Date Shapes. It will bring up a list,
scroll down and find the ones that are out of date and click the
coordinates to bring you to the exact location (it will tell you the
layer it is on). You may need to turn on the "Boundary" for that etch
layer to see it due to the shape priority (sometimes there are multiple
shapes but only one is visible.

Go into the "Drawing Options" and make sure they are all
green. Sometimes you have out of date shapes that prevent it from being
up to date.

Subject: [PCB_FORUM] possessed design!
Hey guys,
Allegro 610 Expert, Windows XP Pro.
Well, my design has become "possessed"!
No matter what I do, the Status shows DRC errors as "Out
Of Date" with 0 errors:
- I ran Tools -> Database Check (both checked), passed
squeaky clean.
- I ran Tools -> Update DRC, resulting in "No DRC errors
detected".
- I ran "Update DRC" from Drawing Options window, Status
tab, also resulting in "No DRC errors detected".
- I got out of Allegro, got back in, then I repeated the
above.
Anyone ever see this one? In all my years using this
tool, I've never seen the DRC errors stay "Out Of Date" after updating.
Thanks for any help!
Gary
