Dave,

You do not need a maintenance contract to log into the cdnusers.org forums.
This was decided during the initial planning stages to allow all users into
this
community not just the folks on maintenance.

Thank you Austin.

Does a person have to be on a maintenance contract to log into the
proposed forum?

Hi Mike,

Not that I don't appreciate Cadence's efforts, but the fact is, we don't
*need* (nor asked) Cadence to do anything. Email lists can be setup by
anyone and there are numerous of well working email list hosts out there
today.

The problem is no one discussed this here first. This seems to be a
"bureaucratic" decision instead of a democratic one, and someone believed
this was an OK think go do. I'm not saying it is or isn't, but it does
expose the belief.

It may or may not be a better "method", but without discussion, having it
simply decreed, means we have no say in it, except to or not to
participate.

Regards,

Austin
