Mike: Presently, if one is subscribed to multiple CDNUser forums (i.e. PCB Design and Skill), there is no way of knowing which forum the email is coming from. This makes it difficult to auto-filter it so it is placed in the correct folder. There needs to be a way of discriminating email, like this (and most) forums do: placing identifying text in the subject line. Just a suggestion :) -- George Patrick Tektronix, Inc. Personally, > I do not have an issues with the web site and I have very bad > vision as well but the web team is going to look into this. I have had around 5 laser surgeries to my eyes to repair retinopathy, which tends to make anything smaller than 10 or 11 points extremely difficult for me to see. I can see the email without problems because I can set the fonts large enough to see. I have to admit that they have improved the site from the days when I originally complained. They used to have gray on white text that was impossible for me to see, at least it's black on gray, now. It's just unfortunate that they still have to use 8 or 9 point type. > I have a questions.. If we were able to get the CDNUSERS.ORG forum > such that you had the ability to monitor / post / reply directly to > the forum via email would that address most of everyone > issues/concerns ? If bidirectional email were available, I would stick around. The main issue with me is visibility, followed by ease of use, followed by content filtering because somebody wants no humor or personality on the forum. The chemistry here has grown through more than just the propel on it, it has grown due to the spontaneity of the medium. Without the immediate response available with email, a lot of that "personality" will be lost, and a lot of the reason to stick around will be lost, too. Work is too stressful without the occasional bit of humor. -- George Patrick Tektronix, Inc. Central Engineering, Engineering Design Services P.O.
