I am new to this, but here goes: I got the P30 because it was available for
a reasonable price. However, the tradeoff seems to be that:

Leaf: touch screen, much better LCD, lots of controls in the field

Phase One: spartan 4 button design. Barely adequate LCD. Long exposure (> 8
secs) possible. No fan. "Brick" like. There's a video somewhether with a
Phase One guy BAKING a pie with a P+ back and then took pictures of the
freshly out of oven pie with the back :-) so I guess it's pretty robust

For me, the spartan design is a good thing - I do post processing on the
computer, and the long exposure capability and the lack of fan is a major
plus.

I have no idea about the Hassy back. They are out of my price range.
