Just because there isn't a lot of commits doesn't mean there is active
work though.
ACPI has work done that are yet to be commited, and I believe that it
in itself would be to small to use for GSoC.
Powersaving, sleeping and higher level services on top of ACPI would
OTOH make a great GSoC imo.
