How about implementing some smart functionality in the Backgrounds
preflet that hides the fact that there are more than one wallpaper but
of different sizes? For example, we could archive several wallpapers
in one file, and Backgrounds would only show the one that is best for
the current screen. If there are multiple Workspaces with different
resolutions and/or aspects ratios, Backgrounds would choose the best
fitting wallpaper for each Workspace. Hey, you could even extend that
to having wallpapers that are ment for monitors on the left/right of
the main one.
Does that sound like a good idea? Is it worth the time it takes to add
that functionality? Is anybody willing to help out with that?
