I tested my old PK at minus 10 F, it worked fine. I could pull off a glove, read a line and put the bglove on. I had time for maybe two lines if I was quick. It would have been hard to have a braille only option at those temperatures, but the Braillenote and the GPS worked as well as the polar fleice arctic hood, down filled coat and mittens, snow pants, and snow boots rated to minus 50 DG F. I had long hunters underware jeans and a sweatshirt under the cold weather stuff. It all worked except I shatered a roller ball cane tip, just by hitting an ice block.

So my advice, is for solid cane tips at those temperatures.
