My first year at ISU exposed me to the Jag's. A floor mate had a jag sedan. it was 1967, so i'm guess the car was early 60's. he said he had 3 heads so he could keep the car running.. one on the engine , one on the shelf, and one at the machinest being reuilt. The luxury of the interior with the burled walnut was someting I still remember. The Royalty in England used to have one, and they still might. This engine is very close: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Jaguar_XK6_engine.jpg It had 3 SU side draft carbs It was a blue head on the one I had. One Jag guy told me they were the performance heads. Same as the XK's. JC On Thu, Sep 9, 2010 at 9:21 PM, Mary McCarthy <printces@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: that was a nice car! Here is the link to the old Jaguar. I can't believe I didn't take a picture of the motor. I probably have one, just not in the "car album" I pulled off the shelf tonight. http://www.myelcamino.net/jag.htm You can see all the old projects from this page: http://www.myelcamino.net/oldcars.htm Add about 6 inches to that waistline on the young feller with the red T shirt. -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter.
