Judy,

I like this suggestion, too. This would be a great help. I, too, like it
when the submitter puts the number of pages in the comments section so we
can know how long a given book is. Saves us a little time having to go look
it up on a book web site, too.

Good point, Cindy R.! One thing I'd like to see: having the
scanner state how many pages are in the book when it gets
uploaded to step one for validation.

I need that information to to figure out how much time a book may
take to validate. Several of our scanners do this already, and it
really really helps me decide if I have the time to tackle a
book. If it's something I'm not thrilled about, but around 150
pages, I'll grab it. A book that I'm really interested in I'll
take even if it's 500 pages or more, but knowing the number of
pages helps me estimate how much time it will take me to read
through it.

I don't think either that you can be too obsessive or picky when
validating because it makes such a huge difference to the reader.
Why should we as readers have to feel satisfied with a second
rate reading experience? smile.
