27º light fog, heavy frost, clearing and rising to 46º
Sloughs: Wood Tract, Crenshaw Tract, Highland Creek/Jenny Hole Unit
Lot of ice, very little open water.
Highlights
Canada Geese less than 100
Snow Geese several 1000 north of 268 in old soy bean field
Greater white fronted geese less than 100
Tundra Swans NONE
Mallards 25
Shovelers 50
Bald Eagles: 2 adults at a new nest tree at Highland Creek/Jenny Hole
Unit
Turkey 15 at Anderson Pond field, 1 at HC/JH
Red-headed Woodpecker at least 30 at HC/JH woods
E. Phoebe 1 within 25 feet of where I saw one last winter at HC/JH
E. Bluebirds 10 along 268
E. Towhee at least 25 in the wood edges at HC/JH
Am. Tree Sparrows in fields at HC/JH
