[birdky] Sloughs Sunday

I visited Wood Tract, 268 slough, Grassy Pond/Powell's Lake Unit, Gentle Pond, Pond Creek Marsh, Shorebird Unit area. 

The Shorebird Unit was still flooded and unproductive.
Wood Tract water is going down but was virtually deserted.
I attempted to get to Horseshoe Road slough but water is still over the road. But, 136 on the way to Horseshoe Road has been graded and river trash moved to the sides of the road: its in the best shape it has been for over a year. Horseshoe Road will probably be passable later this week, barring another huge rain event.

Green Heron 1 at GP/PL and 2 at SBU area
Mallard/Ring-necked Duck looking mix at a farm pond along 268
Bald Eagle adults 1 on nest a 2nd nearby
Sora 1 along 268 at the same farm puddle

Solitary Sandpipers
G. & L. Yellowlegs
Dunlin
E. Kingbird FOS
