Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club! Jason, I suggest you re-read my post stating that I don't load a mouse driver. It was in response to Udo's post stating that I use a mouse more than I admit to. I don't need a mouse for Arachne and that is an old 486 computer with very limited resouces so I don't load a mouse driver to conserve memory and because I don't need it. It has no connection with whether I'm a "real" DOS user or not. I was just posting evidence that Udo was wrong about how much I use the mouse. You seem to be reading things in that are not there in print. It's too bad that you and Udo can't interrogate some of my mouse using friends. They could tell you how much I frustrate them because I am using the keyboard to do things that they routinely do with the mouse when I am showing them something on my computer. And that is true no matter what OS I am using. As far as I know, you are better versed in DOS than I am. And, I assume Udo has much more knowledge about computers and DOS than I do. I have never taken any computer courses and I have no formal computer training of any kind. But I can read, and I have, and lots of people have helped me, for which I am very grateful. Jason, I think you expect things from your computer that I neither need nor want right now. I wish you luck getting what you want and I will be happy with what I have now.... and I will continue to search for those things that are important to me.
