It closes Arachne. And when I do an Alt-E and then exit, Arachne usually returns me to the page I had open when I shelled out. > As you see, as I said > earlier, it is my understanding that with default settings > the dialer page is supposed to come up when you first > start Arachne and you are offline. Been there myself <GGGGG> > I'm sorry about the Desktop > referrence, I thought I was using a default setting > for homepage and when I pressed my ALT-F1 the > Desktop came up. Of course, F10 will also bring up > the Desktop. What puzzled me -- and still puzzles me -- is why you would want to use Alt-F1 to call up the desktop when it can be done by default with a single key, F10. OTOH I have at times done things that I realized later weren't all that necessary, or in some case not even sensible. My default HomePage is a local file called mypage.htm that I have built with links to various things that I find useful. Some of these links are duplicates of things that i can get to in the default settings, but have been put into the page just so I have a common starting point for them. And others links in that page save me from having to go and search hotlist to access them. . ,-./\ . / \ from Greg Mayman, in Adelaide, South Australia . \_,-*_/ "Queen City of The South" 34:55 S 138:36 E . v Arachne at FreeLists -- Arachne, The Premier GPL Web Browser/Suite for DOS --
