As for friends and family that are who are ex-directory, "Anonymous Call Reject" doesn't block calls based on whether caller is ex-directory. It only blocks calls based on whether caller has withheld number, either by using 141 or having Permanent Number Withhold. Being ex-directly doesn't mean one's number is Permanently Withhold, although many ex-directory customers choose to have that service as well.
