i spent this morning checking out Lake Michigan due to the strong northeast winds. They definitely were strong and the waves very impressive, especially as they hit the break walls in Sheboygan. Easily the best spot was Harrington Beach at the end of Cty D. In less than 2 hours I had the following: 30 Black, 15 Surf and 10 White-winged Scoters, 1 Red-throated and 8 Common Loons, 1 Red-necked and a few Horned Grebes, 1 Bonaparte's Gull, 1 Common Tern plus FOF Common Goldeneyes and Mergansers. Red-br. Mergansers were present on the water in good numbers. Kohler SP, Sheboygan and Cleveland were the opposite, very quiet!! For some strange reason there still is no food (except suet) out at the Kohler feeders. Collins Marsh had a Ross's Goose with the numerous Canadas and a few ducks.
