When I reboot they come back.

Rebecca, I will add this if it will ease your mind
any, when mine use to do that all the time it
bothered me to until I hit Ctrl-Alt-Delete and
noted that the programs were still running and
only most of the icons in the systray had
disappeared and even now happens on very rare
occasions since I got the final of IE6 installed
and since I have noted no problems with going
ahead with whatever it was I was doing without any
more conflicts, I just waited until I wanted or
had time to reboot and the icons were back in
place! However, if your "Tabs" are disappearing
in you Task Bar, then the program is no longer
working and if you want to continue to use it, you
must restart the program such as Outlook Express
for example or IE!
Maybe that will clear the mud up a bit for ya'!
 ; )
