This is the Austin Area Rare Bird Alert. This update is as of 12/25/2014.
Send interesting sightings, complete with species name, location, and

-Exceptional birds in the circle-

The DUSKY-CAPPED FLYCATCHER at Pedernales Falls State Park, *Blanco*, was
last reported 11/30, with a negative report from 12/18.

The BROWN BOOBY at Windy Point on Lake Travis, *Travis*, was last reported
12/20.

More updates, positive or negative, are highly encouraged for both of these
birds.

-Rarities found this week-

The Austin CBC turned up multiple PYRRHULOXIAS, RUSTY BLACKBIRDS and a
BULLOCK'S ORIOLE at Hornsby Bend, a BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER, and a GRAY
CATBIRD.

Notable birds from the Georgetown/Andice CBC were GREAT KISKADEE at Berry
Springs Park, INDIGO BUNTING in Sun City, and two EASTERN TOWHEES and a
GREEN-TAILED TOWHEE (most recently 12/24) at Tejas Camp.

A BLACK PHOEBE was photographed on the Guadalupe River at Loop 337 in New
Braunfels, *Comal*, 12/24.

A LONG-BILLED CURLEW was reported from Decker Lake, *Travis*, 12/22.

Two PYRRHULOXIAS were seen in western (12/21) and eastern (12/20) *Williamson
County.*

-Continuing birds from previous weeks-

A CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRD continued at a private residence in New Braunfels,
*Comal*, 12/21.

A PYRRHULOXIAS continued at Crozier Lane, *Travis*, 12/22.
