Manufacturers probably don't want to go to the expense of 2 more DLPs, 2
more pieces of colored plastic and the killer is most likely the prism that
has to equally divide the light to all 3 DLP's, and another way to combine
the light to display it, unless of course they go to 3 lenses and some sort
of convergence process.....I think the color wheel is cheaper, they just
have to make it separate from the light engine (RCA) and a better bearing
(Samsung). Of course LCDs do that already.
