Thats assuming a successful repair! Back when Zenith bought Heath, Zenith asked us to repair PCs. The first one that came in I diagnosed as having a defective floppy drive. Took about an hour and a half to tear it down and make sure that the drive was getting power and signals from the data bus. We ordered the $500 drive, installed it and it didnt work. Called T/A and they said just order another drive. We ordered another $500 drive and it didnt work. Called T/A and they said that they had discovered that the drives in their stock were not configured properly and they had corrected the problem and to order another drive. The third $500 drive fixed the problem. They eventually paid us back the $1500 and $50 for the 4 hours labor. They did not pay for the shipping or the return shipping. The next Zenith PC that came in had a defect on the motherboard. Repair was by replacement only of the $1000 motherboard. At least this time the first one worked and they eventually paid us the $1000 and $50 labor, no shipping or return shipping payment. I declined to repair any more of them on warranty and no one ever asked us to fix one off warranty.
