[TechAssist] Re: Fix it yourself

I know the sizes because I have a printout from another contractors estimate
using the "J" program.
I was doing a re-fi on my house to gat the lowest possible payment for my
retirement years. I saw an ad from a contractor offering free estimates.
When I looked at the efficiency differences between the new ones and my 60
year old one I was able to project the fuel savings. If I added the cost to
a 30 year mortgage, it didn't increase the payment any where as much as the
savings should have been, so it seemed logical to do it.

After they wrote the estimate, I remembered my neighbor who is in the same
business and figured I should give him a shot at it.
His price was about the same but he had this new, even better system for a
few hundred more bucks. What's $300 more when you're spending $7500 anyway?

His sizes are far from that printout and way below what I was using but he
still claims they are from the computer analysis he did.

My lawyer says I should write to him, detailing my dissatisfaction, and give
him the opportunity to replace it with a conventional system of the proper
size. If he won't do it, my lawyer says we will have the other contractor
install one that does the job and then make the first guy pay me what it
cost plus my expenses, legal and otherwise.
