Hi Eleanor, yeah that's right. But this is predictive text.Yes then it is 
pressing 1 3 times and not twice as you previously said! So just ignore 
the full stop and press 1 for the second time, the full stop will change to 
colon and you'll get the smiley face alright. Do you see what I mean? I know 
it can be confusing but predictive text works with punctuation marks as well 
as words.
