Steve,

Give her a break ... <Grins>

I'm sure she did! Just gave another method which often people will find easier, if they don't know all the keystrokes! <Smiles>

Hi Jackie,

I don't just say that because it is an alternative wway,
but it saves you moving the cursor, especially when you
are writing texts. I would have thought you'd know that
command <Smile>.

All the best

Steve

Hi Jackie,

Why up arrow and down arrow? Why not use the Talks read
line command, Talks Up Arrow?

All the best

Steve

Hi Eleanor

I haven't used the E71, so don't know anything about it.
But I can't imagine it being much different from any of
those I have used.

Presumably you have punctuation set to none or some, in
which case, you should hear Talks say "smiley face". As
for writing one in a message, then hearing it, press up
arrow and then down arrow to read the last few words you
have written, including "smiley face", or Talks and down
arrow to read the entire message you have written. If
doing all this doesn't work, I'm stuffed! (smiley face).

Hi nobody has been able to answer my query, I do not have
talks say
smily face when I write it in a text message on my e71.
Like I said I just get some sort of 'click' sound.
Strange that as when someone sends one to me, it says
smily face.

Ah! I must give that a go and not go the long way round!
That
will get me to use them more!
