Not Carol but on my N96 and N95 it works with Talks 4 but I had to put in to User Dictionary for e71. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jackie Cairns" <jackie.cairns@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Carol

Are you saying it isn't working on your phone with the latest Talks
release either, even with punctuation selected to none?

Well, that's interesting because the previous versions of Talks worked
for me too.

Perhaps I should escalate this one as it must be that on certain phone
it doesn't work ...

Hi Carol

How strange. On all the handsets I work with, I can honestly say I
always try out the smiley face, and it works a treat. I haven't done
anything to the dictionary, I just do colon dash and right bracket,
and it says "smiley face", or "sad face" to colon dash left bracket.
And I've used Talks for a long time, with most of the versions doing
this ok. It definitely only works for me though when I set
punctuation to none which is my preference anyway.

OK, Jackie, this gets more weird!

I've switched punctuation to "None" and written my message and still
nothing! Weird!
