The X6 RMA came through today, so it's off to Nokia. Worst piece of £449
priced hype and junk I ever had the displeasure of using.
Being business orientated as I am, I have to give Apple credit for their
highly successful controlling of the masses buying habits. That's one good
piece of work, and I'll openly admit that as it's true. It's for that very
reason they are able to compete with Nokia in the way they are. Yes, the
wise consumers will quickly realise what they are doing, but desire and
appeal are two very strong traits that have served Apple well.

Out of interest, have you found a phone that you like yet? Am I correct in
thinking that you have the x6 at the moment?
I'm really in a bit of a dilemma about the iPhone. Like you, I feel that
there
are fundamental things that it doesn't do and I don't feel that I should
be
supporting apple while they continue with some of there practices in
relation to the iPhone.
Having said this, there are some really compelling points in it's favour -
really easy to use os that hardly crashes, huge app catalogue, good gps
and
large internal storige as apposed to a slower sd card.
The problem is, I'm struggling to find a phone that does all of the above
as
well as the iPhone does and I think that's why apple have been so
successfull with the iPhone. E.g. do a few things really well and then
hardly
do anything else.
As a side note, I also find that posts that rave about the phone can be
really
unplessent to read and more often than not, the poster is very uninformed
about other and in some cases better technologies. I'm not sure if I would
want to own a device that would have people instantly label me as a
fanboy.
