Lee then I question your results. The testing I worked on with Steve Weir
showed significant improvement vs the 0402 caps he was comparing against. Two
identical circuits on the same board only differing in the caps used in the
PDS. Fewer caps were used and lower noise.
So what is your proof? What were the errors? The only test I've seen
published by you had a very non-optimal layout for the X2Y caps.

Ivor, search on this list for an interesting (and hot) discussion, around ten
years ago, regarding 0402 vs. X2Y capacitors tests and the validity of the
published work (specifically, regarding the test vehicles).
