My feelings are that it is my obligation to stay. I don't write the check,
make the entry, hire a handler etc., then not compete.
I also think that many people like to see a complete group, rather than
wonder why the GSD was not there.
While I realize that we may sometimes feel that we cannot be competitive
with certain high profile, highly advertised animals. I think we owe it to
the breed to be there and do the best we can. We may not get the approval of
the group judge, but you can bet on getting some recognition by those who
stayed or perhaps others who came late in the day with the hopes of seeing a
GSD .
I would think one would want every opportunity to show the people who stayed
for group.....this is a German Shepherd Dog.
