IMO, even if it is not obvious, the tail has a very important roll in our dogs' real work. You may not see the effect of a bad tail in the show ring, not sudden turns to worry about. But it will affect a dog's ability to do real work. And the Standard is supposed to be designing a perfect WORKING dog. Therefore, it is still a problem.
