Hi Jessica
Unless you were referring to a collective "you " and not a personal "You" ,
I hate to disappoint you <vbg> but we DON'T use tinted mouses or anything
else on our dogs... not being "high horsed" just fact ..
I had a person , nice person ask me privately "so you don't use
(paraphrasing) anything but bathing/drying etc...)
I told her and this is no kidding, I sometimes don't even get the time to do
that! lol
I related a story not too long ago , at a specialty here , San Gabriel
Valley, that I was busy with our big guy "Joe"
(Ch.Garters EMale Fran Jo Anne Isle , co owned with Gary Lewis) during the
BBE dogs class, taking my sweet time
at the hose , talking, so I could soap him up after he was wetted , so I
could bathe him for Open.....
I hear the dreaded "Open dogs to the Ready Ring" AAACK WHAT????
I RAN a SOAKING WET unbathed Joe, back to our tent, hefted his 96 lb butt
onto the table to at least run a towel over him and a comb...lol...a tense
but , trying not to panic me, Ken, said "Honey, we're in the ring...NOW"
I threw down the comb and the towel and we rushed him into the ring....won
Open and
a 4 point Major later.....I felt much better. I would never recommend it
for the faint of heart, nor would I want to
make a habit of presenting a soaking wet/ unbathed dog to a judge, lol.
But yes it CAN be done.
