Sally, HSUS went under cover for THREE years and could find FOUR cases against
Petland. I don't like to see commercial breeding kennels, I like to see people
people buying from good breeders. But we supply less than 5% of the pets to
the nation. And since we are so good at picking our buyers and insist on s/n
on the pets. Since we don't breed more than a litter or two a year, if
that.... where should the public get their pets?
This crusade against commercial breeders is against ALL breeders. THAT's from
where this onslaught of bills introduced across the country has arisen! In the
eyes of HSUS, we are all puppy mills and breed only for money. Believe it.
I sincerely hope they buy them from places that are sanitary, do health checks,
etc., etc. I would prefer dogs from USDA kennels vs those smuggled in by the
thousands with unknown diseases and diseases that have not reached our shores
before. And won't go into the emotional stories about how young, and how they
are brought in to the U.S.
HSUS, always remember, wants NO breeding of animals... by us, or by anybody.
JMO and I know many disagree. I disagreed with this myself until I read and
researched and learned for myself.
