I remember one year when I was at the hotel to give out the packets, as
Helen couldn't be there. I knew most everyone who came by. As usual we had
the packets to give out, not at ringside, but at the host hotel. I liked it
better in the arena, but for some reason we sent tickes to people at home,
they then had to bring the tickets, to retreve them at the hotel.
It then was moved to ringside, and whenevery possible in a place where you
could watch the show and work as well. I have for a number of years sat at
the announcer's table and done a blog for the members, and it has always
worked. At times I was a bit out of the way, and had to have someone else
tell me what was going on.
This year we have a new chairman. Bill does care deeply for the club and
the membership and I hear he is setting up table arround the ring. Helen
brings up a good point, we need to recognize the members, workers and also
those who exhibit at the national.
I have faith in our new chairman. I sat with him at the announcer's table a
year ago, and had a chance to get to know him just a bit. Bob and I picked
on him too, and it was fun.
