Well, when I talked with support, the gentleman told me only to use the USB
cable. What are the steps to transfer files wirelessly? bob

  Bob:
  You are incorrect.
Both units allow the transfer of files via wireless.

I wonder though the differences between the pocket and the book port

And I can truly say that I'd prefer a U.K. accent to samantha, but
she's not bad; neither is Tom. (ha, they're not bad; but they're
        not even people.)

We have the Plextalk Pocket. With the Australian version loaded of the
firmware, we are in New Zealand, we only have the choice of Lee
(Male) and
Karen (female). We would love to have the U.S. firmware with Samantha
and
Tom, as on the Stream and Booksense. I have sent a message to Plextor
to see
if you can install a different firmware on top of the one loaded on
the
unit. Haven't got a reply yet. Hopefully in the future it may become a
choice for the voices. If all firmware is the same then it shouldn't
be an
          issue.

          Russ,
When the list was formed, the only thing there was was the plex
          1. now there are several models, and we hit them all with more or
          less accuracy.
I am myself quite new to the plextalk pocket, but I sure love
mine. It can be used with a NLS key or other keys.
One feature that one might love is the key-lock. You can be
exercising or walking and have the keylock on; then you can't make
any change to what is happening till the lock is turned off.
The voices for text to speech are the same as the stream, samantha
and the american male voice. I myself like the british male voice and
use it with my stream for reading.
But that option does not seem to be available with the plex
          pocket. So I use samantha.
I'll stop now. but you just ask away. Others will surely chime in.
