Say, Jamie,
the stream with the new thing can, I believe, be set to record mp3 
rather than only that funny odd thing it used to do. so you have 
more  options with the victor stream now. i may be wrong, for I never 
use the victor for recording--or rarely.
But my understanding is that you can record mp3 with it now.
And the plex pocket ought to be head and shoulders above the others 
for recording.  That is its  strong suit.  You can even create 
audio-CD quality recordings and dump them to a CD.
