It's the unusual way the word's used. If it had said something like "You use your Mindblast skill to..." no one would worry. But "You launch a mindblast at..." doesn't conform to the use of 'Mindblast' in all the other books. That's why a two-word or hyphenated version would be better (IMHO!).

I'll work on getting a good set of test editions out there later this week. Woo-hoo! Rejected what was to be rejected; Fixed what was to be fixed. With today's addendum, that leaves just five unresolved issues. Brilliant!! :-) Just a few thoughts of my own. (er/ft) 45, 83: he will accept 1 Weapon, 3 Gold Crowns, and 1 Backpack Item [lm: what if, for example, you aren't carrying a weapon?] [jb: Good point. We could only suggest to the reader to make suggestions according to what they think is fair, something like, "If you lack one or more of these items, substitute other items of equal value."] Trouble is here, 'of equal value' could be ambiguous, since items are not given monetary values. Can we succinctly explain that 1 Weapon = 3 GC = 1 Backpack Item, so that if you are lacking something, substitute 3 GCs --or-- 1 BI ? It'd be better not as a footnote, IMHO, but if that's the best way of explaining this without detracting from the narrative... (er) 47: [jc: This is a bit weird. Maybe sort out the chooses ascending: 0-3, 4-8, 9] [jb: Hmm, that is weird, but I can't say that's it's wrong either. Thoughts?] Joe is here saying that for this particular RNT pick you want to pick low, for some reason. I suppose there's nothing wrong with the list backwards, so we could opt to leave as-is. (er/ft) 131: You must now erase half of all the Arrows you carry, rounding the figure up to the nearest whole number where appropriate. [lm: are you to round up the half that you subtract or the total number of arrows that you carry?] [jb: Good question. I could only find a couple of other places where the author talks about rounding numbers up or down (is my regex-fu failing me?). Both cases (03btng:192 and 04wotw:125) were in the Grey Star books. All cases that I found suffer from a similar problem. I tend to think you should round the number of arrows lost, but that's just me. What would we say in a footnoote?] For once, I have no real opinion in this matter! (er) 219: [bk: To add another potential erratum, the random number results in section 219 don't make sense. It's certainly understandable that Assimilance would protect you from insta-death, but why should it lead on average to greater Endurance loss? Should we make the order of the sections 123, 300, 192, 254?] [jb: ] We've left a similar instance alone in a recent release (I forget the details...it was in Book 24 or 25 I think), and the EP loss is slight, so I'd opt to leave this as-is.
