Jim,

My Eclipse structure includes an additional folder and looks like this: 
C:\eclipse-jee-ganymede-SR1-win32\eclipse\plugins

Does it make any difference to the process of getting plug-ins?

Also would you recommend me to upgrade to Eclipse 3.5 version, or this one
is good enough?

Anna,

From what I know, all you do is download the zip file, and unzip it into
the eclipse installation folder.

However, as I have said, I am a total novice at eclipse.
