You can hook up several printers to one port. Not all the same time (as far as I know, may be possible with a switch), but I have had 4 LPT printers installed at the same time with no problems, all worked fine. With USB, you should theoretically be able to hook up 127 at the same time. Again, of course without knowing anything about this adapter, I can say any specifics. FAIK this adapter may only allow one printer to that specific port. -Clint God Bless, Clint Hamilton, Owner www.OrpheusComputing.com www.ComputersCustomBuilt.com www.OrpheusComputing.com/cheap_reliable_web_hosting.html www.OrpheusComputing.com/PCworks-computer-help-email-list.html ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Grossman" Thank you, Hugh, Ed, and Clint. It works! I had three installations of the printer. I didn't think the others that were not used would matter, but apparently they were interfering with the final version. I do have multiple installations on other computers, and they do not cause problems. I reinstalled the final version on this computer, and then I deleted both of the previous versions. I found an additional possible cause for the problem. One of the ports was set up for TWO printers! I don't know whether that was the cause for the problem, but it was one of the drivers that I deleted. Why would Windows install two printers on one port? Strange. After handling these things, I turned off the computer for a few hours. When I turned it on, all was well. I'm back to saving the trees. I don't know how to save dolphins, anyhow. Thank you. David Grossman -----Original Message----- David, perhaps you should go to 'Devices and Printers' and check to see if you have an extra version of your Printer Installed. If so, it is probably using that extra version which has the Gibberish page, then Prints the requested pages. I often find an extra version of my Printer installed, and I just select & delete.
