Why in the world are you doing this?
I have found multi-session disks and CD-RWs to be very problematic and 
no longer use either. The RW disks tend to be unreliable, and 
multi-session is inefficient.
With disks so cheap, and email, thumb drives and online storage so 
readily available there are plenty of safe alternatives.
If you can see the file, you might be able to copy it, or open it with 
Notepad.
