If it is running, here is how to make a recovery disk. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/how-to-make-a-windows-vista-repair-disk-if-you-dont-have-one/ Along with lots of other suggestions http://www.google.com/#hl=en&expIds=17259,23756,24692,24878,24879,26727,27213,27400,28066,28104&sugexp=ldymls&xhr=t&q=making+a+recovery+disc+from+running+vista&cp=41&qe=bWFraW5nIGEgcmVjb3ZlcnkgZGlzYyBmcm9tIHJ1bm5pbmcgdmlzdGE&qesig=KotMDxodrPkYckZjJxPnwQ&pkc=AFgZ2tnViV-s6PCcddOEL7Pnw7Fial1gE2XBJSRnAOuOuuOWnFvnvERcNvEKerfHbml2l7kDWpJ3jqo60tB2slCI3Gx1wqesYQ&pf=p&sclient=psy&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=making+a+recovery+disc+from+running+vista&gs_rfai=&pbx=1&fp=7a5ff6e4754518c3 <http://www.google.com/#hl=en&expIds=17259,23756,24692,24878,24879,26727,27213,27400,28066,28104&sugexp=ldymls&xhr=t&q=making+a+recovery+disc+from+running+vista&cp=41&qe=bWFraW5nIGEgcmVjb3ZlcnkgZGlzYyBmcm9tIHJ1bm5pbmcgdmlzdGE&qesig=KotMDxodrPkYckZjJxPnwQ&pkc=AFgZ2tnViV-s6PCcddOEL7Pnw7Fial1gE2XBJSRnAOuOuuOWnFvnvERcNvEKerfHbml2l7kDWpJ3jqo60tB2slCI3Gx1wqesYQ&pf=p&sclient=psy&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=making+a+recovery+disc+from+running+vista&gs_rfai=&pbx=1&fp=7a5ff6e4754518c3> But if your hard drive is clean, you have to have a disc, maybe eBay. Since you have the number it will not matter about what vista disc you get as long as it is the same kind. The number goes with the computer, not the disc.
