Don,
    You did very well, with one exception (and I think you're just trying to 
test me with that).  A 17" 4:3 to a 17" widescreen would force a reduction 
in resolution since the height of the screen would be reduced.  The 17" 4:3 
monitor is more comparable with a 19" widescreen (16:10 or 16:9) when it 
comes to overall screen height, so that's where the icons and text sizes 
would remain very similar in size.
