Yeah I agree, Perhaps we should spend a few minutes tomorrow deciding on what’s “hot” for this meeting and what can be put off to another meeting, which is beginning to seem necessary to me. Studies show meetings grow less productive over an hour in length, and range from worthless to destructive over two hours. However, if we don't have time to discuss all the star tour issues, we can have another meeting at a later date. I really think the rotation list should be discussed tomorrow, Thursday night. Darlene probably won't make it Kevin isn't ready Alex's can wait for another night That leaves 2 minutes of Howard, and 2 minutes of Mike, if we wish to hear about this. That's my point. There isn't much to be discussed with the general members. Terri On Wed, Feb 11, 2015 at 1:09 PM, Eric Steinberg <eric@xxxxxxxxxx<mailto:eric@xxxxxxxxxx>> wrote: Hi- #1. I don’t care if we do the regular business meeting first or not, though I’d probably prefer to have just one meeting night. What I do care about is that the StarTours portion of the meeting be for StarTours members only. I guess if others want to sit and observe quietly without participating that would be OK. #2. It was my understanding that the reason we had two different meetings was that one was purely a business meeting, while the other was for information, videos, announcements and general discussion. It seems like the MOM’s is getting more and more to be just another general meeting with a little business portion – perhaps we should save the presentations for the general meeting. What are the other BUSINESS topics for Thursday? #3. I can’t imagine any PAS topic at all taking three hours to resolve. If we can’t do this in half that, shame on us! It would help if we agreed: No digressions, no bloviating, state your point and yield the floor, and one person speaks at a time. Clarity is Brevity. Why? The topics for the MOM"s for the General Members, doesn't seem to be anything we NEED to discuss at this time. So, if it is agreed upon and because I see we have more to discuss that we will be able to do in 3 hours of time tomorrow night, for JUST the Topics of the Star Tours group. I haven't seen three votes come in to make this a Star Tours Members ONLY meeting. Based on what i'm collecting in topics, I believe we should. So, i will take Eric as the first to vote we do this as a Star Tours Members only meeting. I'm looking for 2 more votes or input from those receiving this email. They are the only people who have enough experience to make good judgments about the issues. It is also not fair to have people who will not in any feel the effects of the decisions to be making or even having input to those decisions. Hopefully we can make this change. Terri? We will open up to the few topics that are not related to the Star Tours group topic, and then those who wish to depart for the night, may, and those who are IN the Star Tours Group or are interested in talking about it and giving their input or just listening, can stay. My guess is we will have a great turnout, and a lot of snacks to share. President Bruce will provide the bottled water, but please bring a snack to share and let's make this a party! What makes this a party? Food, Friends, Great conversation. Anyone is welcoem to attned, but if you bring someone who isn't part of the Star Tours Team or a PAS member, you might want to leave with them. So, consider not having extra folk with us at this meeting, this time. We will not be doing anything spectacular due to the topic at hand will probably be a minimum of 1.5 hour discussion (Star Tours Group). So, I'd like to devote most of the time to that purpose. I will update the MOM's Agenda so everyone knows what we have planned, in a day or so. Let's make this meeting productive, a party, and fun for all who attend. I'm attaching the Agenda, the way it stands right now, before revisions, and will probably send it out again, Thursday morning, revised to fit the needs of this meeting. We will see you there! Have a spectacular Monday! Terri, Event Coordinator If you are part of the Star Tours Team and you can't make the meeting, please be sure to read the review so you are up to-date on any changes, ideas, etc. I appreciate all input. The attached MOM's Agenda was from Jan 19 (last update). I will get that revised before the meeting, just not today. What I would like from the Star Tours Team is email me, not the group, a list of sub topics to talk about, specific to the Star Tours team topic. Example: How much to charge for star parties? School star parties Scout star parties etc... I want to make an organized list, and see if we can't put it into a format that can be discussed, and then if needed, voted on. We aren't really voting, we are agreeing to stuff. Your input is requested. So, break down your discussion ideas, and let's make a list of what we need to discuss, and i will put it into an outline, organized format for on the board, so we can stay within a topic at a time and finish it's discussion, before moving on to the next topic. Thanks for your help in forming this list. -- Good friends are like stars. You don't always see them, but you always know they are there.
